Water and sanitation
What we do
Water and sanitation
Three out of every four persons lack access to sanitation. This is resulting in needless illness and fatalities. Even while access to clean drinking water has advanced significantly, poor sanitation is eroding these gains. We can put an end to this needless suffering and death if we give access to reasonably priced equipment and education about good hygiene habits. One of the biggest problems in Somalia and other parts of the Horn of Africa is getting access to safe and clean water because of a number of variables, including an arid climate, the chemical composition of water sources, and war brought on by humans. Furthermore, in terms of quantity, quality, and accessibility, the current water sources are insufficient. Even when combined with surface water, groundwater is unsuitable for human consumption due to its high concentration of chemical components and salt.
