Health care

A major contributing factor to the world’s poverty and suffering is poor health, which affects communities that have inadequate access to food, contaminated water, and medical care, resulting in extreme hardship. For men, women, and children around the world on a daily basis, establishing sustainable solutions for improved nutrition, clean water, and healthcare access can mean the difference between life and death.

Getting everyone in Somalia, a nation in the Horn of Africa, access to a high-quality healthcare system is a significant challenge. Somalia’s have among of the lowest life expectancies in the world, with most of the population residing in rural areas. It has been challenging to overcome widespread disease, malnutrition, and a general lack of healthcare resources after years of civil war and natural disasters.

Ensuring good health and promoting well-being for people of all ages is IGATHA’s mission. We are committed to working closely with families, communities, and partners to address pressing health issues, support rural communities in achieving universal health coverage, and improve overall well-being.
